The Center began its work in 1991
From a small room on Nevsky Prospect in St Petersburg Russia, seekers across Russia were sent Bibles and literature from the Russian Bible School.
In 2005, the Institute of Theology and Christian Study began to offer residential courses in a two year program for students across Russia.
In 2009, the Center began to broaden its mission to include providing different kinds of resources to help Russian speaking congregations, with singing, with teaching, with interconnectedness.
Today the Center in St Petersburg Russia is involved in helping
1. seekers to hear the gospel
2. churches to grow
3. leaders to teach
"The most effective way of training leaders in a country is in their own language in their own setting. This is much better than sending them to another country. I am impressed with the quality of teachers who are participating in the Institute of Theology and Christian Ministry program." - Everett Ferguson,
"It is good that ITCM has two main directions in its work: planting new churches and strengthening existing churches. ITCM is a successful program for the churches of Christ in Russia." - Oleg Yakimenko,
"A strong Bible Institute like ITCM can produce well prepared ministers with deep theological knowledge and understanding." - Sergei Bolshakov, |
