In August 9-11 Christian Resource Center gathered leaders from different locations for the traditional CRCRussia August seminar. Brothers and sisters from Barnaul, Volgograd, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Ukhta, and also from Tallinn (Estonia) got together to study questions that are so crucial for our Christian self-identification. We need to understand who we are in the postmodern society, how to communicate the Gospel to people around us, why we are both out of this world and part of it. Our teacher was Dr. Roger Chapman, professor of history from the Palm Beach Atlantic University, Florida. He was a missionary in Russia and participated in church planting in St.Petersburg in mid 1900’s.
Most of the participants were able to stay in St. Petersburg for one more day to be part of Sunday worship service of the Neva Church of Christ. During the service brothers Sergey Bolshakov (Moscow), Vasily Denisov (Tomsk), Vladimir Mikhailov (Moscow), Vlad Osinovsky (Barnaul) and Gennady Shcherbakov (Syktyvkar) shared their observations and impressions of the seminar.
